Omaha Children’s Museum Gala - Be a Kid Again! (More Photos)

On May 2, 2009, Catering Creations was part of the Omaha Children’s Museum’s Annual Fundraiser. The theme this year was “Be a Kid Again!” Chef Snow and the Catering Creations’ staff prepared a delicious meal suitable for the kid in all of us!
The meal started with Kid Inspired Passed Hors d’oeuvres:
*Mini Pigs In a Blanket with Ketchup Mustard Dipping Sauce
*Mini Ham & Cheese Puffs
*Pepperoni Pizza Bites
*Passed Cones of flavored Popcorn - 2 Flavors: Asiago & White Truffle Flavor OR Bacon & Sage Flavor
Dinner Plated and Served Starting with a ”Maple Nut & Berry Salad” consisting of: Mixed Greens with Baby Beets, Feta Cheese, Toasted Pecans, & Blueberries In a Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette
The Main Entree as Shown at the top of this page was a “School Lunch of Chicken Finger, Mac & Cheese, & Salsbury Steak with Peas & Carrots”. In the grown up interpretation, this consisted of: Parmesan Chicken Fingers with a Red Pepper Basil Ranch, Smoked Gouda & Bacon Macaroni & Cheese, Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce, and Baby Green Top Carrots with a Creamy Spring Peas
And as any kid will tell you, dinner is not complete without Ice Cream! Banana Splits with 3 flavors of ice cream and 3 Sauces were served to wide-eyed and happy guests who decided you really can be a kid again at the Omaha Children’s Museum!
Specialty Drinks were served throughout the night: “Jolly Rancher” and “Girl Scout’s Thin Mint Cookie Cocktails”
